Napa Interfaith Counseling
Established in cooperation with local congregations from several faith traditions, we offer counseling that honors your spiritual life as a resource for healing, growth and well-being.
Pastoral counseling is like counseling you might seek from any other therapist, except pastoral counselors also have professional training in spirituality and faith in addition to their clinical training in behavioral science. We can help you include the resources of your own spiritual understanding or faith tradition as we work with you to resolve what brings you to counseling.
Our counselor is Rev. Timothy Locke, Ph.D. Tim is a pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA) with a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach and extensive training in psychology and family systems. He has broad ecumenical and interfaith experience, with a focus on elements in each tradition that help us become more loving and more creative. You can find more about Tim at his website, timothylocke.com
Fees for counseling are payable to Napa Interfaith Counseling by check, cash, Visa or MasterCard. Sliding fee scale available.
Will my counselor preach to me?
No. We respect our clients’ spiritual values. We help people from all faith traditions, and people with no faith tradition. Our mission is to help people find growth and healing by including the spiritual dimension of their lives, and not to convert anyone to any specific beliefs.
Can I get an appointment right away?
In most cases, we can schedule your first appointment within a week. Just call us at (707) 927-4488 to make an appointment.
Napa Interfaith Counseling is an inclusive agency that honors diversity, and our services are available to everyone without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, disability or age.
